This end-unit condo at the base Schuss Mountain was recently renovated, and the view of the mountain, golf course, and woods are stunning! It’s no surprise that fall and winter are busy seasons at the Mountain View Townhouse. That’s why we provide plenty of wood for the cozy fireplace. Of course, you are invited to eat, play, and relax during all four seasons. Get ready for an incredible up-north experience!

Cross-country skiing from the front door! There is a scenic trail winding through the woods that connects to miles of groomed cross-country skiing trails. You can also use them for biking, walking, and running. Up for skiing? The lifts at Schuss Mountain are a 2-minute drive. Local’s tip: Stop at Ivan’s slope-side lounge after a day on the slopes. Ask me about breweries, steakhouses, quaint shops and fine dining. The pools and hot tubs at the Shanty Creek / Schuss Mountain Resort area are free all summer long!
There are hundreds of attractions in historic Bellaire. If there is a golfer or two in your group, send them off to four championship golf courses in Shanty Creek - courses designed by Weiskopf and Palmer! There’s everywhere else, and then there’s Up North. My brother Joe and I (Jim Meloche) started NorthernMichiganCabin.com after years of vacationing in Northern Michigan. We spent our childhood vacations skiing, golfing, fishing, swimming and exploring the lakes and rivers. Eight years ago, we bought our first vacation home in the area and started turning cabin time into a full-time lifestyle.
We love mountain biking, snowboarding and staring aimlessly at the pines — sometimes with a bourbon in-hand. We also love rehabilitating run-down properties into beautiful and unique vacation homes. The North holds some of our favorite memories, and now it can be home to some of yours.
