Jennings cottage is a spacious modern rental on the edge of northern Michigan’s Missaukee Lake. This large-group vacation rental offers accommodations for up to 24 guests, with eight bedrooms, a bonus room with additional sleeping space and three and a half baths.
The Jennings eight-bedroom lake house is settled at the south end of Lake Missaukee. With more than 5,000 square feet of cozy living space and three-quarters of an acre of private yard and beach frontage, this home is the perfect place to gather the extended family.
The main floor of this lakefront cottage near Lake City features an open floorplan with a laundry room, a full kitchen, a large sitting room and a dining room with two long tables — enough to seat 16 at a time, with three more stools at the L-shaped breakfast counter and another 4 top table in the dining room corner.
The sitting room is furnished with two plush sofas and two reading chairs gathered around a traditional stone hearth and a large flat-screen TV. There is also an air hockey table. The kitchen is equipped with modern appliances, as well as place settings, utensils and cookware.
Sleeping arrangements: The master suite is located on the main floor and has a king-sized bed. The remaining seven bedrooms are located on the upper story, along with a Bonus Room with a study/reading room and 2 pull-out couches. This home has a total of two king-sized beds, two queen-sized beds, two full-sized beds, six twin-sized bed and four pull-out couches.

This spacious lake home is surrounded by a huge yard with lots of level, grassy space to run and play. It offers private beach access, with a patio furnished with table and chairs. There is also a gas grill and a campfire pit to make the most of those summer evenings.

Jennings cottage is conveniently located to Lake City, Michigan, a small waterfront community with a quaint downtown area. Venture into town for breakfast, lunch or dinner at a classic American diner — some favorites include the Tasty Treat, The Coffee Cup, and the Food Factory and Pub.
Other attractions in Lake City include two miniature golf courses and a picturesque local shop: Sassafrass Garden & Gifts, a great place to pick up unique souvenirs. There is also the Hollywood Bar and a number of scenic hiking, biking and ATV trails in the area.

We were a big group of over 20 people — stayed here for 3 nights and unanimously declared one of the best vacations. Huge lawn was a big plus for small kids they never needed parents other than at food time. Safe and shallow beachfront with ready to sail boat. Traverse city was just short pleasure drive to spend all day or just pleasant evening. Kitchen was big and good enough for big groups. Fantastic vacation home! We've been back three times with our children and their families! So big we have plenty of space and all the modern conveniences. The little grandkids enjoy the sandy beach and clear shallow water, and the older ones love the raft with a diving board and slide, as well as the fishing which has been good on Lake Missaukee. The house is furnished beautifully and has areas to be together as well as nooks for quiet times and reading.
