Our newly expanded, dual-home Serenity Lake Vista is a peaceful rural retreat tucked on a gentle slope alongside Lower Scott Lake in Allegan County, just 12 miles from the charming coastal Lake Michigan town of S. Haven. This comfortable dual-home retreat features two homes separated by a small yard area. The larger "headliner" home with a full kitchen features a breakfast nook where you can sip your favorite brew and an island where you can prepare anything from a snack to a 4-course meal. The cozy kitchen opens into the inviting living room area with a sweeping lake view where you can warm your toes in front of the electric fireplace while watching your favorite movie on our large-screen [55"] HD TV with satellite service & DVD player. Gather in the dining room around our NEW huge custom dining table to share that special meal with loved ones, or gather to play your favorite games if the weather keeps you indoors.
You'll find four private bedrooms in the main house: one queen, one king, one large, private king master bedroom suite with both a step-in shower and jacuzzi tub, plus a kids' room with 2 sets of bunk beds (twin tops with full futon bottoms). There are also 2.5 more bathrooms and a laundry area. Outside, you'll find a sprawling lakeside deck with dual dining sets & gas grill, a lakeside fire pit with seating, an 8-person all-season hot tub with pergola, front yard lake access which includes a private swim area with private dock, and free use of our two (2) kayaks, plus a small patio seating area just off the main entrance. Inside our brand-new "sequel" cottage, newly built & opened in May 2024, you will find an open living area with game tables, comfy sofa seating, a large-screen [65"] HD TV with satellite service, 9-piece dining set, kitchenette, another bathroom, and laundry area. The living area is the focus of this home and the bedrooms are grouped around it. This home has one king bedroom with an en suite bathroom, 1 queen bedroom with an en suite bathroom, 1 full bedroom with an ensuite bathroom, and 1 bedroom with 2 sets of twin bunk beds. Note: Your private lake access with dock and two kayaks (2) is in your front yard!
Sleeping arrangements between the two homes: Eight bedrooms with 14 total beds. The main house has four bedrooms: one king bedroom, one king master suite with en suite bathroom, one queen bedroom, and one kids' bedroom with two sets of twin bunk beds (four total beds). The brand-new smaller cottage also has four bedrooms, including one king bedroom with an ensuite bathroom, one queen bedroom with an ensuite bathroom, one full bedroom with an ensuite bathroom, and one kids' bedroom with two sets of twin bunk beds (four total beds).

The lakefront home features a full kitchen with a breakfast nook and island, a living room with an electric fireplace and large-screen TV, a dining area, a spacious lakeside deck with a large dining area and a gas grill, a patio area with seating, a lakeside fire pit with seating, an 8-person all-season hot tub with pergola, and front yard lake frontage which includes private lake access with a private dock and free use of our two (2) kayaks.
NOTE: DOCK, WATERCRAFT, GRILL & OUTDOOR FURNITURE NOT AVAILABLE OCT 25-APR 15. Our Hot Tub is Always Available, Even in Winter. This home is closed for the winter from just after the New Year until March 31.
Our TWO entire homes, yards, hot tub, private lake access, private dock, and kayaks are ready and waiting for your exclusive use during your stay.

Serenity Lake Vista I & II is the perfect place to relax and unwind. Enjoy the peace of the lakefront setting, or take advantage of the many activities the area offers. Go swimming, boating, fishing, or kayaking on the lake. Hike or bike the nearby Allegan State Game Area trails. Visit some of the orchards and vineyards the area is known for. Explore the charming towns of South Haven, Saugatuck, and Holland. Or, you can relax on the lakeside deck and enjoy the view.
In the summer, there are many things to do in rural Michigan. You can enjoy the fun of picnicking and relaxing near the lake. You can also go fruit picking and find locally grown cherries, blueberries, peaches, and raspberries in the nearby orchards. If you're looking for some excitement, you can take a dune ride or visit the South Haven beaches. And of course, no summer in Michigan would be complete without a visit to the Fenn Valley Winery.
In Autumn, the colors of the trees around the lake and the surrounding area are spectacular. This is a great time to visit the art galleries in the area and take home some beautiful souvenirs. You can also go hiking or biking on the nearby trails, or visit local apple orchards to sample some cider or pick some delicious fruit to take home.
In the spring, the lovely colors of the flowers and leaves bursting into life are a sight to behold. This is a great time to walk, hike, or sit on your porch and enjoy the fresh air. Each May, Holland's Tulip Time beckons visitors from all over, all drawn by the promise of hundreds of thousands of tulips blooming in concert.
No matter what time of year you visit, you'll have a great time in rural Michigan. With so much to see and do, you'll be coming back for more.

My husband & I, along with my parents and brother, stayed at this property for a family wedding nearby. It was perfect in every way. By a stroke of luck, the owners discovered their first gorgeous property on Upper Scott Lake in Lee Township over 18 years ago. They began renting out the cottage because they sought to share the wonderful experiences their family has enjoyed through the years.
