Maple Woods Hideaway is a beautifully decorated countryside cottage just one mile from Upper Scott Lake and only 2.5 hours from Chicago. This ranch home has a full kitchen, an open-concept dining and living area, a large front deck, a screened porch with a dining table, a new XL Titan park-style charcoal grill, a fire pit, a separate recreation room building with a TV lounge area, and a seven-person all-season hot tub right outside the back door of our home.
The interior spaces within this home are decorated with unique vintage art/decor and provide enough seating for movie nights or, for guests that bring their favorite games, a game night. The kitchen is roomy and generously equipped with all the amenities needed to cook a delicious meal for friends/family. Eat inside at the expansive dining table, or move to the screened porch for an outdoor dining experience. Just steps from the back door are the spacious rec room with pool table, foosball, air hockey, 55" HD TV with satellite TV, loveseat, fridge, and full bathroom. In the backyard, you will also find the outdoor hot tub that accommodates six or so guests, the XL park-style charcoal grill, a picnic table, and the fire pit. Travel just a mile to Upper Scott Lake and enjoy private lake access with a private dock waiting for you to get in one of our free canoes, or rentable kayaks.
Sleeping arrangements: Five bedrooms with eight total beds. Four bedrooms have a queen bed, and one has two sets of twin bunk beds (four total beds).

Maple Woods Hideaway is a great place to come home to after a day of exploring South Haven and its many outdoor activities. Relax in the outdoor hot tub open year long, challenge your friends to some games in the standalone rec room, catch the Big Game on the big TV, curl up with a good book in the living room, or just lounge by the fire at the home’s fire pit. The screened porch at Maple Woods Hideaway is perfect for those who want to experience the outdoors without worrying about bugs, rain, or getting too hot in the sun. The new XL Titan park-style charcoal grill makes for a great year-round outdoor BBQ experience with friends and family, so be sure to BYO charcoal & starter fluid!

Maple Woods Hideaway is one mile from your private lake access and private dock at Upper Scott Lake. There is one free canoe available, with life vests and paddles. If you enjoy kayaking, you can rent one with your reservation for a fun outdoor activity. Guests can swim, fish, golf, hike, shop, and much more, when they choose this ranch home.
Maple Woods Hideaway is located less than 10 miles from Fenn Valley Vineyards. Wine tasting, food, and events like the Fenn Valley Wine Festival are available for those who visit Fenn Valley Vineyards. Other local places of interest include Lake Allegan, Great Bear Lake, and Oval Beach.

By a stroke of luck, the owners discovered their first gorgeous property on Upper Scott Lake in Lee Township over 18 years ago. They began renting out the cottage because they sought to share the wonderful experiences their family has enjoyed through the years. We have added 13 more properties over the past 13 years, and we truly enjoy offering our guests a simple countryside alternative to busy city life.
