Our serene setting will provide you and your guests with many hours of relaxation, yet you are only minutes away from downtown Muskegon, MI and a night out on the town. The Riverside Lodge, offers a great hotel alternative, with the peace and beauty of the infamous Michigan Summers and abundant wildlife. All ages will enjoy the fantastic swimming! Right in front of The Lodge is a beautiful shallow sandy spot. Not every cabin offers good fishing right off the shore (perfect for kids). Start each day, rain or shine, “outside" in the screened in front porch - morning coffee never tasted so good.
We've got everything you need for your next vacation. Since you book directly with us (the Schuiteman’s) we can give you tips on how to prepare for your Michigan vacation and what’s unique about Muskegon, MI. The Lodge is nearby our home, so we are here to help with anything needed during your stay.
Cabin time here includes bonding time around the bonfire in the evenings (campfires, stories, fishery’s and s’mores are a must). Your days will fill up fast too: River tubing is a popular to-do (ask us about our 2 hour and 3-4 hour trips); rent kayaks and canoes nearby. You can bring your own boat and use the boat launch located close by. Keep it at the shore during your stay. We like to say, visiting "the river" is a summertime must.
Muskegon County is home to 26 miles of sugar sand beaches and dunes, over 60 miles of wilderness trails for hiking and biking. Just down the road - Lake Michigan. There are lots of family-friendly events and kids activities no matter what direction you point your compass. Michigan's Adventure theme park, a quick 25 minute drive, is also a destination must!
