BOOKING SEPTEMBER 2024 MINIMUM 3 NIGHT STAYS. BOOK ON THIS SITE FOR 2024 AND PAY NO SERVICE FEES. We book full weeks only that go from Saturday-Saturday during the period between Memorial and Labor Day (except timeframe starting last August week) and will consider 5 or more nights in May and 3 or more nights in September. You’ll feel the sunshine beaming through the wall of windows in this 1,536 sq. ft. Muskegon area vacation home rental with its open concept living/dining/kitchen providing magnificent frontage and views of All Sports Twin Lake. Built in 2000, the 9 ft. high ceilings with fans create a spacious interior that includes beautiful hardwood floors. With 60 feet of private sandy frontage on the lake, and no steep lawns to navigate, you’ll want to go barefoot and feel the sand beneath your feet as you walk out to the 19 ft. pontoon boat moored on your own private dock (only included in price on prime summer weeks/ call if you have question on whether or not included or a separate fee). Pontoon may not be available after mid September. The pontoon boat is included in prime summer rental rates (Ask owner if it is included in the week you desire). There is a high quality pedal boat big enough for adults, and kayaks all weeks for your enjoyment.
Lounge inside in the living room on the two leather couches, and watch your favorite show on the TV/DVD player with Xfinity TV and high speed internet in our Twin Lakes vacation cottage rental. One bedroom is located on the main floor, and the other two bedrooms are located in the upper level. Maximum occupancy with five queen beds and one twin is 10. A bathroom is on each level. The Muskegon County lakefront rental has ceiling fans and central A/C making summer stays comfortable in any type of weather. Mosey out to the expansive deck and soak up the sun while relaxing on the patio furniture and swing, or take a refreshing swim in the sandy-bottomed lake.
The fully equipped kitchen includes a refrigerator, stove, microwave, coffeemaker, toaster, dishwasher, dishes, pots and pans, glassware, and cooking utensils. There is also a washer, dryer, and laundry tub on the main floor for guest use. The dining room table seats eight with four more at the breakfast bar. Use the gas grill on the outside deck and serve up your own gourmet meal on the two patio tables for elegant outdoor dining on the lake.
Sleeping Arrangements: Bedroom 1 (main) - 1 king bed; Bedroom 2 (upper level) - 2 queen beds; Bedroom 3 (upper level with lake view) - 2 queen/1 single beds. One bathroom on each level.
Note: To make the lake better, like many inland lakes, Twin Lake is sprayed periodically for both Swimmer's itch and weed control. As an owner, we are notified of possible weeks for this to occur yet we never know the exact day. It is not recommended to swim for 24 hours after the lake is treated.
There are no other homes across the street, making this a fairly quiet and private lakefront location on Twin Lake. The island that is only 175 yards away acts as a buffer from speed boats and Seadoo traffic. Gather everyone around the fire pit close to the shoreline for those special bonfires at night to watch the stars. Cookout on the propane Weber grill and play a relaxing game of horse shoes out on the grassy lawn. You’ll feel the stress of life melting away during your stay.
A 19-foot pontoon boat is included in prime summer weeks advertised rate. During non-prime summer dates (typically prime weeks are considered last week of June until around August 25) you can rent the pontoon boat for $475/week. There are also kayaks, a rowboat, and a pedal boat for your use included in your rental rate. With a sandy beach and beautiful water to swim and fish in, you may not want to leave this waterfront retreat.
Paddle the kayaks or use the pedal boat to the sandy island only 170 yards away and create your own exploration adventure. Great swimming and fishing right off the dock. You may even get lucky enough to see a heron feed or the resident Bald Eagle hunt for fish.
It is also just a short walk to the Twin Lake County Park that has a public swimming area, boat ramp, playground, volleyball area, tennis courts and an ice cream shop. If you bring your own boat, you can launch it at the ramp and moor it on the rental’s dock during your stay. However, boats over 18 feet or deep V boats are not recommended.
It’s just a 12-minute drive from your lakefront Twin Lake rental to downtown Muskegon. The Michigan Adventure Amusement Park is a popular destination for families and only 10 minutes away. There is an area for younger children and beginner roller coaster rides that make the park an exciting destination even for inexperienced “wannabe” thrill seekers. Spend the morning on the rides and then the afternoon in the water park that has a zero-depth entry area perfect for younger children. Art lovers will want to visit The Muskegon Art Museum. The museum’s permanent collection features some of the most impressive art in the nation, with renowned works such as Edward Hopper’s “New York Restaurant.” Check out The Silversides submarine, a WW2 submarine near Pere Marquette Park.
Drive a little further and you’ll have some of the best Lake Michigan beaches to choose from such as Pere Marquette Park and Kruse Park. Bring your golfing gear too, because there are literally dozens of public golf courses nearby. Stonegate Golf Club, only 5 minutes away, in Twin Lake was rated one of the top 4 golf courses in Michigan in 2015. The golf course is surrounded by the gorgeous woods of Manistee National Forest. There are numerous other beautiful golf courses in the area including Old Channel Trail Golf Course and Stonegate Golf Course and the Thoroughbred Golf Course a 30 minute drive.
There are great places to dine in the area. Some of the owner's favorites are the Overboard Inn for breakfast and the F'in Bar just 2 minutes away and Lefty and Romo's less than a 10 minute drive.

The property was well maintained and had everything you could need. The lake was perfect for the kids and there are a lot of great activities in the area. Jeremy D.
This Lake house accommodated 8 of us aged 1 to 77 very nicely. It had everything we needed. The children loved playing in the sand and water. We all enjoyed fishing off the dock. My husband caught a nice size bass. We also enjoyed bonfires at night. Nice getaway! SHERI S.
Our family really enjoyed our week at this lakeside home. Besides the wonderful weather, the clean house, all the amenities that come with the house (washer/dryer, dishwasher, etc)we ALL LOVED it! We were greeted the first night by a bald eagle, that we could watch catch it's dinner. We looked forward every day to looking for turtles, ducks & trying to catch fish. Thank you again for the wonderful time, we look forward to seeing you next year! Elizabeth G.
The whole family enjoyed the vacation. The description was more than accurate. The home was very clean . The kids enjoyed the water sports., the fire pit, Michigan adventures . The night were cool with a wonderful breeze on the back deck. We would rent this property again. The owner was very helpful. Barb N.
I enjoyed this vacation with my family very much. I know pictures can be deceiving but this cottage was very clean, roomy and comfortable. My granddaughter enjoyed the sand and the lake which was perfect for her. I had a few questions when we first arrived and the owner responded to our issues right away. I would like to return to this cottage again and I would recommend it. Mary z.

Lifelong Muskegon area residents who live in the area so are accessible if needed. We analyzed all lakes prior to buying the property this home sits on and you will agree this is a very nice spot on the lake. The island acts as a barrier between almost all boat traffic and especially the Seadoos and water skiing traffic.Great care has been put into what we would want in a rental, high end beds, nice appliances and the modern conveniences of WIFI and central A/C. We know the area well so are always open to your questions. About 70 percent of our summer renters are past renters which is the ultimate testament of the love and quality we have put into making this a memorable place to stay.
