The Hide-A-Way Lodge also has an 8 bedroom lodge that sleeps up to 36 guests. The 4 bedroom lodge offers a fully equipped kitchen with dual refrigerators, electric oven & stovetop, microwave, coffeemaker, pots, pans, utensils, plates, and various other cookware items. Throughout this spacious lodge, you will notice the stunning knotty pine interior. The lodge is filled with many unique decorations and each bedroom is themed with one of the four seasons. The large rec-room features a bar, pool table, lounge area, satellite television, and a dining space.
Indian River, MI is named after the river that flows through it. Located between Burt Lake and Mullett Lake alongside the 40 mile long inland waterway. You will also find in Indian River the Sturgeon River, a popular river for kayaking, tubing and canoeing all year round!
Just a few hundred feet from the property is access to the State Groomed Snowmobile Trail System of Northern Lower Michigan. Indian River, MI is an ideal location for boating, fishing, hunting, biking, golfing, kayaking, canoeing, rafting, bird watching, hiking, and stand up paddle boarding. Also check out local restaurants and shopping centers.
Some of the best hiking opportunities in the Indian River area include the Wildwood Hills pathway, the Ocqueoc Falls Bicentennial pathway and the Black Mountain Forest pathway. All these hiking paths are surrounded by the beauty of nature and wildlife.
Popular winter activities include downhill skiing, cross country skiing and snowmobiling. Fall activities include Elk viewing in the Pigeon River Country State Forest, the Color Tour and hunting. Every August the Indian River hosts the Top o’ Michigan Marathon Nationals (boat race). Spectators stand along the shores to watch this thrilling high-speed race!
