Welcome to Maple Ridge! Our 1,700-square foot, two-story cabin home located right in the heart of the Upper Peninsula’s Hiawatha National Forest. This three-bedroom Michigan vacation rental is a true wilderness getaway, with natural views and a peaceful, private setting.
This secluded cabin rental in northern Michigan is a great place to escape the hustle and bustle of city life. The house has a cleared, gently sloping lot surrounded by tall trees, and an elevated deck that looks out over the property on three sides, complete with a charcoal grill and seating.
Enjoy outdoor activities, and leave your gear and outer wear on convenient hooks in the spacious front entry mudroom. The main level features a cozy great room with a full kitchen, a comfortable TV/family lounge, and a dining area with chairs for four, plus counter stools. Bathrooms are located on the main and lower levels.
The master suite at Maple Ridge is lofted above the great room and is furnished with a queen-sized bed. Bedroom two on the main floor has a queen and a twin-sized bed, and bedroom three on the lower level also has a queen-sized bed. There are additional beds are follows: one sofa sleepers; two twin rollaways and a one queen-sized air mattress. All bedding and bath towels are provided.
We provide the following starter products: paper towel, toilet paper, face tissue, dish soap, dish washer soap, hand soap, laundry soap.
Maple Ridge has several unique design elements, such as the fun play area set up for children in the nook under the stairs with plenty of toys. We also provide children’s and adults’ board games for use at the cabin. On the lower level, there is a custom bar area, and in the backyard there is a fire pit for cooking out under the stars.
This cozy cabin for rent inside the National Forest is close to several good fishing lakes in the area, as well as the Pictured Rocks and shopping and dining in downtown Munishing, MI.
From the cabin door, it’s only a half mile down the road to Pete’s Lake, where you can enjoy a clean sand beach that’s great for swimming, and a public pier for fishing.
Pete’s Lake and others in the area are open for motorized recreation, making it a hot spot for tubing, waterskiing, and other exciting water-based adventures.
A scenic hiking trail and the local cross-country ski trails are located within easy walking distance of Maple Ridge cabin. You can also find a convenience store with fishing licenses and tackle, canoe rentals, and hand-dipped ice cream within five miles of your rental home.
For those traveling in large groups, Maple Ridge is close to our Hiawatha Hideaway vacation rental, so it’s easy to coordinate activities and meals between the two.

Spring rates run from April to Memorial weekend at $155 to $195/night; ask for weekly rate.
Summer rates run from Memorial weekend to end Labor Day week at $295/night. Holidays may require a longer stay and are at a higher rate, please ask.
Fall rates run from September through mid-December at $195/night; ask for weekly rate.
Winter rates run from mid-December through March at $275/night or $1650/week. Holidays may have a higher rate and longer stay minimum, please ask!
Rates are based on eight guests including children. Each additional guest will incur a one-time fee of $125/wk OR $20/night
Base rates do not include the $250 cleaning fee per stay.
Pets are welcome with an additional fee of $20/night or $125/week.
One-half of the total rental amount is due upon reservation.
A refundable security/damage fee is required to hold the cabin.
Cancellations of summer rentals (June through August) will receive no refund after May 1.
Cancellations during all other times of the year will receive a refund less a cancellation fee up to 45 days prior to the scheduled arrival date.
Cancellations made within 45 days of the scheduled arrival date may not be refunded unless we are able to rebook the property.

Our stay at Maple Ridge was fabulous! We have stayed at Maple Ridge on many occasions and continue to return for many reasons: it is so spacious and comfortable, super clean and the location is perfect! Maple Ridge is close to everything, water (so many lakes easily accessible), trails for hiking, biking, running, etc., and it’s close to Munising and Pictured Rocks. it’s also a perfect location for day trips to Marquette, Tahquamenon Falls, Big Spring (Kitch-iti-kipi) and many other spots. Maple Ridge is completely set up for comfortable down time too, with a fully equipped kitchen, great TV and wifi. The fire pit is awesome for nighttime campfires! Our stay at Maple Ridge was really good. The house was very clean. The house was big enough for 7 people to sleep and hang out. The kitchen is well supplied with glasses, plates, utensils, pots and pans. There is a full side fridge and was able to hold all of our food for the 4 days we stayed. Great snowmobiling accommodations! Very nice, well maintained property with lots of room, big bathrooms, plenty of towels, a big fridge, dishwasher, satellite TV and high speed internet. A perfect base camp for snowmobiling that is close to the trails and room in the garage to put the sleds and has a country store with rentals a quarter mile up the road.
