Unique Features
Lake Superior view (even from the kitchen)! Beautifully decorated with upscale, tasteful furnishings and interior decor. Think of it as a 'Pottery Barn-like style’ cottage with style. Since you book directly with us (Lisa and Tom) we can give you valuable local advice so you can fit all your Upper Peninsula adventures in.
Things To Do
How close are you to The falling Rock cafe? Follow the smell of freshly roasted coffee - just one block away. Try a hand dipped ice cream cone and listen to local entertainment. Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore (one of four National Lakeshores) is right here! See rocks that tower 50 to 200 feet directly from Lake Superior.
Yes, the cottage is conveniently located in downtown Municing, but that doesn’t mean you should miss out on 12 miles of beautiful Lake Superior beaches, five miles of massive sand dunes, 17 waterfalls, and historic lighthouses. The entire shoreline between Munising and Grand Marais, Michigan is a real UP gem worth exploring.
Go on a boat tour, a shipwreck tour, a Grand Island tour, a fishing trip. In the Adventure Peninsula you can scuba dive, hike or bike until your heart’s content. Your next winter vacation might include ice climbing, cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, snowmobiling, or ice fishing.

Reviews
We had a wonderful stay at this very cute cottage. The cottage was well stocked with all of the toiletries, towels, and linens for the three of us. It was very convenient to walk to the local eateries and marina. There were many places we wanted to visit in this area including the beautiful Pictured Rocks, Munising Falls, Wagner Falls, Alger Falls. It was also centrally located which allowed us to visit Tahquamenon Falls one day and Bond Falls the next day. We had a great, long weekend! - Suzann Skerjance
Would recommend the Downtown Cottage if you’re looking for proximity to downtown. It’s cozy and is filled with everything you need. I appreciated the quality bedding, kitchen supplies, etc. - Dean Gazza
Wonderful stay at The Downtown Cottage. We had everything we needed to make our first trip to the UP successful! Nicely decorated and very homey. Perfect location close to everything. Thank you so much to Lisa for staying in such close contact the weeks leading up to and including the day of to ensure everything went smooth! We definitely will be back the next time we are in the area! - Allison
We stayed at Downtown Cottage for our Honeymoon. It was a cozy & perfect place for us to stay! Everything we could possibly need was provided. Thanks for a great place! - Shane & Paula Birr
