** PETS ARE ALLOWED IN CABIN #7 AFTER LABOR DAY WEEKEND UNTIL MEMORIAL DAY WEEKEND. There is a $10 a day fee for each pet. Not to exceed two pets per cabin. Pets are to kept on a leach at all times and are not to be left alone in cabins unattended unless they are kenneled. Cabin 7 is heaven on the “quiet side” of Beautiful Houghton Lake (Michigan's largest inland lake). Fought’s Resort has a beautiful sandy beach. Our 8 cabins offer a mix of rustic ambiance with modern amenities. We are known for our park like setting, having a great swimming area and the most beautiful sunsets you will ever see!

Our resort is open year round; Snow Birds don’t leave Houghton Lake, they flock to it! Did you know Michigan's largest winter festival is Tip Up Town USA held the last two weeks in January. What started in 1951 by a few ice fisherman has grown: Carnival, car show, polar bear dip, a giant ice slide. Since you book with us here at the resort, we can share our local knowledge so all ages go home with unique vacation memories.
Since you are choosing a resort cabin, your group has access to all the Fought’s Resort amenities: spacious play area, paddle boats and kayaks, shuffleboard court, volleyball, swing sets, a basketball court. There is also a club house on the premisses equipped with bumper pool, air hockey, foos ball and an electronic basket ball game. There is a wood burning fire place in club house for your use. Wood can be purchased on site or you can bring your own. Perfect for weddings or family reunions.
With 330ft on beautiful Houghton Lake at your doorstep, the lake activity is steps away. Bring your boats, snowmobiles, or ATV’s and make Fought’s Resort your basecamp for on water and off water adventures. Cross Country Ski and Snow Shoe through the resort grounds, or take to the lake on your snowmobiles. We have one of the largest lake frontages of any resort on Houghton Lake.
Houghton Lake events and other tourist attractions will get your attention and keep you coming back. The Houghton Lake Arts & Crafts Shows are popular with guests. Also, Roscommon Canoe Classic, Farmer's Market, St. Helen Bluegill Festival, South Higgins Lake State Park, Annual Christmas Arts and Crafts Show. Your group can even head to the nearby track for some heart-pounding Auto Racing.
Things to remember:Guest are to Furnish their own full-size bed linens, towels, and paper products thru summer months. Bed linen and towels are provided after Labor day until Memorial day. Guest are still responsible for their own paper products.

Additional guests: $15/nt or $75/wk. We require a $150 deposit to confirm a reservation. Reservation for winter rentals are non-refundable. Sorry, no pets Memorial Day through Labor Day. Ask for cribs and highchairs if needed.
What a great girls getaway. Very relaxing and a beautiful view on the lake. Rick and Nancy were great hosts and went above and beyond what we needed. The cabin was clean and with all the amenities. Will definitely be going back and I hope soon. Keep up the great work. Shannon Crisman
Went ice fishing all weekend had a comfy stay with my dog and caught some nice fish launching out and walking from this side of Houghton Lake also met some great friends from this that I'll continue to fish with for along time I'll definitely be returning. Jason Bow
