This Houghton Lake Resort cabin is a great winter basecamp for cross country skiing, snow shoeing, amazing ice fishing with easy access to premier snowmobile trails. The fireplace keeps everyone warm during winter and the resort lakefront fire pits keep everyone outside during summer.
Splash all summer long at our sandy beach and immense lake frontage - Fish on! Houghton Lake has Glue gill, Perch, Crappie, Smallmouth/Largemouth Bass, Northern Pike, Walleye, Northern Pike. This is your destination for a family vacation or weekend getaway. Guests will enjoy the home away from home kitchen amenities too: Dishes, utensils, pots & pans, coffee pot, toaster, microwave, full size refrigerator and electric stove/oven. Cabin #3 has its own private fire pit.You can purchase woods on site or bring your own.
Sleeping arrangement:Two Full-size beds, sleeping loft has a third bed. Plus a sofa sleeper. Bathroom with shower. Guest are to furnish their own linens, towels and paper products thru the summer rental season. After Labor day until Memorial day bed linen and towels are supplied. Guest are still responsible for their own paper products.
Our location on the “quiet side” delivers the most colorful sunsets you will ever see. Dine in the cabin, on the glassed in porch or at your private picnic table. Cook in the kitchen or fire things up on the grill. Our renting season doesn’t end at Labor Day! Also there is an on premisses club house available for guest use equipped with air hockey, foos ball, bumper pool, an electronic basketball game and a wood burning fire place for your use. Buy wood on site or bring your own.
Cabin 3 resort amenities will impress our guest! Private fire pit for your use as well as Paddleboat, Kayaks, volleyball & basketball, shuffleboard, corn hole, swing set, badminton, Easy access dock (anchors for your watercraft or boat rental), and one of the best resort swimming areas on 22,000 acre Houghton Lake.
Our Houghton Lake, MI resort cabins are near challenging golf courses, historical museums, and some of the largest antique shops. Since you book directly with us at Fought’s Resort, you can get area details from local experts. Ask us about walleye fishing hotspots (come during the Catch Us If You Can Fishing Contest), fall color tours, canoeing & tubing destinations. We’ll make sure every age in your group has a memorable vacation at the lake.
We specialize in BIG! You’ll find our park like setting perfect for weddings and family reunions. We have eight cabins (six log cabins, four with lofts and two wood frame cabins). Bring your boat and explore Houghton Lake, Higgins Lake & Lake St. Helen. What’s the largest Winter Festival in Michigan? Tip Up Town USA ( the last two weeks in January) carnival rides, giant ice slide, petting zoo, and much more.

Additional guests: $15/nt or $75/wk. We require a $150 deposit to confirm a reservation. Reservation for winter rentals are non-refundable. Sorry, no pets Memorial Day through Labor Day. Ask for cribs and highchairs if needed.
We had a wonderful weekend at Foughts. It was off-season, with only one other cabin occupied, so very quiet. The cabin was clean and had everything we needed from dishes and cookware to the linens, and they included firewood for our fireplace at no additional charge. Kimberly Patrie
Went ice fishing all weekend had a comfy stay with my dog and caught some nice fish launching out and walking from this side of Houghton Lake also met some great friends from this that I'll continue to fish with for along time I'll definitely be returning. Jason Bow
