Rainbow’s Promise is a modern Upper Peninsula cabin with 200 feet of private shoreline on scenic Town Lake. This picturesque two-bedroom vacation rental is ideal for a couple’s getaway or a quiet family vacation. You’ll love the warmth of the real wood-burning fireplace in the fall and early spring, and what could be better than exploring the Hiawatha National Forest right outside your front door?
Rainbow’s promise is an 840-square-foot, 6-person cottage with three private acres near Munising, MI. Inside, this little cottage has everything you need in an open floor plan, including in-unit laundry, a fully equipped modern kitchen, a dining area with seating for four, a breakfast bar with four stools, and a sitting room with a rocking chair, a futon and a flat-screen TV.
Sleeping arrangements: Rainbow’s Promise has one private bedroom on the main floor and one lofted over the great room. The main-floor bedroom has a queen-sized bed, while the loft is furnished with two twin-sized beds. Two more can sleep on the futon couch in the living area.
Unique Features
This northern Michigan cottage is located just steps from the shoreline on Town Lake. This is a small, no-wake lake, making it great for fishing and a quiet, restful place to stay. We provide a rowboat with paddle and life preservers so you can explore the 40-acre natural water feature at your leisure. We also provide a charcoal grill and an outdoor fire pit.
Things To Do
Take a casual tour of Town Lake in our rowboat, or set up camp in a promising fishing spot to entice the native bluegill, bass, perch and northern pike. This lake has a sand bottom and clear water that makes it the perfect place for a refreshing swim during the warmer months.
Rainbow’s Promise enjoys a secluded setting with a great view and a privacy screen of tall trees. Sit in the shade and listen to the call of the loons, or make a fire and cook marshmallows under the stars. There is plenty of wildlife to be seen in the surrounding area if you sit still long enough.
Feel free to bring your own floaties and water toys and make the most of this Michigan cabin’s ideal situation. Rainbow’s Promise is also close to the Bruno’s Run hiking trail, where you can hike or bike nine miles through wooded, natural landscape.
The wider touristing area around Rainbow’s Promise includes the Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore, canoe rentals, ATV trails, and unique shopping and dining in downtown Munising. The Midway General Store is just five miles up the road for fishing license and tackle an hand-dipped ice cream.

Spring rates run from May to mid-June at $150/night or $895/week.
Summer rates run from mid-June to August at $1,365-$1575/week, with weekly rentals running Saturday to Saturday.
Holiday rates may be higher and require longer stays.
Fall rates run from after Labor Day week through October at $145-$175/night or $795-$995/week.
Rainbow’s Promise is not available during the winter.
We have a 6 guest max at this cabin, including children. Base rates do not include a standard $150 cleaning fee per stay or additional pet rates $20/night.
One-half of the total rental amount is due upon reservation.
A refundable security/damage fee is required to hold the cabin.
Cancellations of summer rentals (June through August) will receive no refund after May 1.
Cancellations during all other times of the year will receive a refund less a cancellation fee up to 45 days prior to the scheduled arrival date.
Cancellations made within 45 days of the scheduled arrival date may not be refunded unless we are able to rebook the property.

Our stay at Rainbow's Promise was terrific! We really liked the cottage and the view to the lake out front was splendid to wake up to every morning. Townline Lake's water was crystal clear and very inviting (though too cold to swim in early October, ha!). We loved using the trails close by and we were close enough to Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore to spend time hiking and at the recreation areas there. The cottage was clean and well kept, with a fully functional kitchen for cooking any meals we needed. It was nice having a full-size fridge for plenty of food for our stay.
